Experience the true silence, solitude and beauty of Namibia
Sandfontein Lodge is located within the 200,000-acre Sandfontein Nature Reserve in a remote area of southern Namibia, with approximately 25 km of frontage along the Orange River.
The lodge operates as an exclusive-use property. Whether guests visit as a couple or as a group of up to ten, the entire lodge and reserve are reserved for their stay.
Conservation and environmental impact are central considerations at Sandfontein. The reserve lies along an ecologically important section of the Orange River and remains largely undeveloped. Even limited tourism can affect fragile landscapes, and the lodge’s operations are designed with this in mind.
In recent years, the reserve has expanded its protected boundaries, introduced additional wildlife, and constructed the lodge using locally sourced materials. The property operates entirely on solar power to minimize noise and environmental disturbance.
The reserve supports a variety of wildlife and river ecosystems and provides a quiet setting for visitors seeking time in a remote natural environment.
