How is the experience?

A virtual forest bathing experience enables you to be guided in your own environment in real time. Your own environment can be your garden, your local parkland or a room in your home with a plant, a living being or window to view nature outside. 

You will be offered a series of invitations that are all designed to help you slow down, awaken your senses and enable you to deepen your connection with nature, connection with your true nature as well as with your community.

These invitations invite you to open your awareness and curiosity, often noticing elements in your own environment that you have never truly seen before.

We end this session with a shared small tea offering, it is at this point that you may notice that you have a new sense of stillness and calm within you.

Welcome, I’m Maria Chappell and your guide for this virtual forest bathing session.

Coming from a background of counselling, coaching and mindfulness, I started incorporating nature into my classes approx. 2 years ago. Initially training as a shinrin-yoku practitioner and then natural mindfulness, I have just completed a further 6 months training with the ANFT as a certified nature and forest therapy guide.

At the core of my work and passion is to help people to find their way back home to themselves. Nature helps us to step towards this with ease. I feel that my own personal journey as well as professional one has evolved gently and blossomed to offering this today.

  • Bookings close 24 hours before the start of the virtual walk.

  • Booking registration and payment is to be made prior to receiving the zoom link to join the virtual walk.

  • Maria reserves the right to cancel /postpone a walk if heavy rain and/or high winds are forecast or for any equipment failure and will notify participants via email 24 hours before the virtual walk is due to start.

  • Should you need to cancel your booking, please notify Maria /Host via email 24 hours before the start of the virtual walk. You can transfer your booking to any of our alternative dates for virtual walks. You can also request to receive a refund (less booking provider service charges and any money transfer/processing fees).

Additional Notes

If participating outdoors, participants:

  • Check you will have good data reception in your area. We recommend both using headphones and having a power bank.

  • Dress accordingly, we sit for long periods so can get cold. We recommend layering clothing and ensure you have waterproof or sun protection as necessitates.
