Dender-Mark Quiet Area, Flanders, Belgium

On October 29, 2021 Dender-Mark Quiet Area celebrated its 20th anniversary as a landmark of silence, stillness and peace. At the same time Dender-Mark was internationally recognised and awarded as Belgium’s First Urban Quiet Park by Quiet Parks International.

Judarskogen Nature Reserve, Stockhom, Sweden

On August 18, 2022, Judarskogen Nature Reserve was awarded the Urban Quiet Park status. The nature alternates here with open meadows and hilly woodlands with the lake Judarn located centrally.

Hansta Nature Reserve, Stockhom, Sweden

On August 18, 2022, Hansta Nature Reserve was awarded the Urban Quiet Park status. In the Hansta Forest you can wander through both old primeval coniferous forest and groves with hazel and centuries-old oaks.

 

Älvsjöskogen Nature Reserve, Stockhom, Sweden

On August 18, 2022, Älvsjöskogen Nature Reserve was awarded the Urban Quiet Park status. The forest forms a continuous part of an ecologically significant area for biodiversity that stretches between the extreme tips of Bornsjökilen and Hanvedenkilen.

Kyrkhamn (Planned Nature Reserve), Stockhom, Sweden

On August 18, 2022, Kyrkhamn (Planned Nature Reserve) wasawarded the Urban Quiet Park status. The nature of the area is strongly characterized by the proximity to Lake Mälaren and the landscape's geological history with fracture zones, faults and ice ages.

Sätraskogen Nature Reserve, Stockhom, Sweden

On August 18, 2022, Sätraskogen Nature Reserve was awarded the Urban Quiet Park status. In Sätraskogen Nature Reserve you can hike through open meadows, oak slopes and old fir forest.

QPI presented Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) with an Urban Quiet Park Award for Mt. Tabor Park on May 26th, 2023. The Maintenance, City Nature and Land Stewardship teams maintain, steward and manage public greenspaces within the park system.
